Enjoy the Ollantaytambo Tour and experience the ancient Inca archaeological site in southern Peru
Ollantaytambo is a city and an Inca archaeological site in southern Peru about 72 km by road northwest of Cusco. It is located at an altitude of 2,792 meters above sea level in the district of Ollantaytambo, Urubamba Province, Cusco region. During the Inca Empire, Ollantaytambo was the royal possession of Emperor Pachacuti, who conquered the region and built the city and a ceremonial center. During the Spanish conquest of Peru, it served as a stronghold for Inca resistance leader Manco Inca Yupanqui. Located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, it is now an important tourist attraction due to the Inca ruins and one of the most common starting points for four-day, three-night hikes known as the Inca Trail.
If this is a trip to Peru, not only Machu Picchu, but also Ollanteitambo will be visited.
