Booing - Cancellation and Refund Policy -Mercury Tour Operator

Booking Rules

Minimum 50% payment at the time of confirmation & Balance 50% to be clear 30 days prior to journey.


Bookings can be confirmed only if Mercury Tour Operator gets the confirmation of payment clearance to its account. If Mercury Tour Operator fails to receive the above payment, the ticket & or booking shall automatically be cancelled.


There is a possibility of increase of fare because of time gap between quotation of fare and actual booking of tickets, in this case, customer would be informed about the same and increased fare would be collected from the customer.
Additional money for booking modification will be collected from the passenger for any modifications.

Domestic Tour Cancellation Policy

Mercury Tour Operator reserves the right to revise or cancel any tour booked by the Traveller without providing any specific reason. Such revisions or cancellations may occur due to circumstances beyond our control. In such instances, we will offer alternative tour dates or tours, or the option for Travellers to proceed as individual travellers rather than as part of the original group tour. If the alternative dates or tours are not acceptable to you, or if you opt not to travel as individual travellers, we will refund the amount paid by you, excluding any incurred costs, within forty-five days from the date of revision or cancellation. However, we will not be held responsible or liable for any reimbursement, damages, substantial loss, or refund of other expenses incurred by you.

30% of the total amount to be deducted after ensuring and confirming any Group Package / Customize / Tailor Made Tour (Domestic).
50% of the total amount to be charged before 30 days prior to journey (Domestic Tour).
75% of the total amount to be charged before 15 days prior to journey (Domestic Tour).
100 % will be charged within 10 days of the journey. No refund allowed within 10 days of the journey (Domestic Tour).

If any tour cancelled due to climatic condition / Natural calamities, Pandemic, Political strike, road blockage, train cancellations or any kind of circumstances, in that case Mercury Tour Operator are not liable to refund any amount to the customer. Any extra cost or reschedule cost to be borne by the customer accordingly.

Kindly note that the Cancellation Policy would apply even if Mercury Tour Operator’s has not incurred any expenses by way of any payment made for booking of hotel rooms, vehicles, boat rentals or for any other facilities required for the tour package. Non-payment of any expense by Mercury Tour Operator’s Sojourn is not a ground for returning money. The Cancellation Policy would prevail in case of any Cancellation.

No cancellations are entertained for the peak season or any special occasions like Durgapuja, Christmas, New Year, Pongal, Holi, Bengali New year, Independence Day, Republic Day, Diwali, and Valentine’s Day etc. These are special holidays and therefore cancellations are not possible.

International Tour Cancellation Policy

Mercury Tour Operator reserves the right to revise or cancel any tour booked by the Traveller without providing any specific reason. In such instances, we will offer alternative tour dates or tours, or the option for Travellers to proceed as individual travellers rather than as part of the original group tour. If the alternative dates or tours are not acceptable to you, or if you opt not to travel as individual travellers, we will refund the amount paid by you, excluding any incurred costs, within forty-five days from the date of revision or cancellation. However, we will not be held responsible or liable for any reimbursement, damages, substantial loss, or refund of other expenses incurred by you.

Should you wish to cancel your booking, you must provide written notification to us. This notification will only be considered received upon our receipt of your letter, as we can only act upon receipt. Any claims must be directed to you after deducting the cancellation charges as outlined herein.

If any cancellation is related to political reasons, communal riots, pandemics, or natural calamities and disasters, the customer is responsible for the cancellation charges. Mercury Tour Operator is not liable for such issues and will not refund any advance money given by the customer.

The following cancellation charges shall apply irrespective of the reason for cancellation. You understand and acknowledge that these charges represent a genuine pre-estimate of the damages that we will incur due to cancellation. These charges are considered liquidated damages in legal terms and are payable without proof of actual damages. You agree not to dispute such deductions or demand proof of actual damages. Mercury Tour Operator is entitled to charge the following cancellation fees to the Travellers / B2B agents.

75 days prior to departure: Rs. 15,000/- + visa charges (if applicable) + Ticket cancellation charges (if applicable)

74 to 60 days prior to departure: 30% of the package Cost

59 to 45 days prior to departure: 40% of the Package Cost

44 to 30 days prior to departure: 65% of the Package Cost

29 days or Less prior to departure: 100% of the Package Cost

‘No Show’ on the tour: 100% of the Package Cost.

In case of visa refusal, Mercury Tour Operator will apply cancellation charges consisting of the visa cost, ticket cancellation charges (if applicable), and a service charge of Rs. 15,000/-. This applies under the condition that the visa refusal occurs at least 75 days before the scheduled journey date; otherwise, standard cancellation policies will be applicable.

Upon visa rejection, the cancellation will be considered effective from the date of intimation of such rejection. Please refer to our Visa Guidance section for further details.

If a Schengen visa or any other visa is refused subsequent to obtaining a UK visa, normal cancellation charges will be applicable as outlined in our terms & conditions. Note that Sundays and holidays will not be counted in the calculation of cancellation days.

In instances where visa delay or refusal necessitates the cancellation or deviation of the tour immediately before the original departure date, passengers will be responsible for bearing the associated cancellation or re-booking charges.

Failure to timely remit tour costs or any other booking default may result in Mercury Tour Operator treating such occurrences as a cancellation by you. In such cases, cancellation charges will be determined based on the date of issuance of the cancellation notice.

In the event that no formal notice of cancellation is issued by Mercury Tour Operator, but payment defaults or other defaults persist until the departure date, the booking will be deemed as cancelled by you without prior notice, incurring the highest cancellation charge. By booking with us, you expressly agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.

Refund Policy

Refunds (if applicable) for changes and/or cancellations will be directly processed for bookings made directly with Mercury Tour Operator’s office. For bookings made through your Travel Agent, refunds will be routed through them. The refund process may take up to 90 working days to complete.

 

There will be no refund for any unused or partially utilized services such as airline tickets, meals, entrance fees, optional tours, hotels, or sightseeing. Refunds for the foreign exchange component of the tour will be paid back in INR only at the prevailing exchange rate of the company.

 

Refunds from third-party providers such as airlines, cruise lines, or overseas suppliers may take between 30 to 90 working days, depending on their processing time. Customers will be required to provide relevant supporting documents as requested.
