Itinerary

Day 01: Departure from Sealdah

Begin your journey with an overnight train from Sealdah Railway Station. Relax and enjoy the journey through picturesque landscapes, passing by small towns and lush greenery as you make your way towards North Bengal.

 

Day 02: Arrival at Falakata – Transfer to Madarihat

Arrive at Falakata Railway Station in the morning, where you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Madarihat, the gateway to Jaldapara National Park.

**Optional Activity**: In the afternoon, you may choose to embark on a thrilling jungle safari in Jaldapara National Park. Home to one-horned rhinoceroses, elephants, deer, and various bird species, the safari offers an opportunity to witness the vibrant wildlife of North Bengal.

Return to the hotel in Madarihat for a restful evening.

 

Day 03: Transfer to Bhutan – Arrival in Thimphu

After an early breakfast, set off towards Phuentsholing, the border town where you will complete immigration formalities to enter Bhutan.

Once immigration is done, continue your journey through the scenic landscapes of Bhutan, with a lunch stop along the way.

Arrive in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, by evening and check into your hotel.

The evening is free for relaxation or to explore the peaceful surroundings of Thimphu.

 

Day 04: Thimphu – Visit Dochula Pass and Punakha Dzong

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast, followed by a visit to Dochula Pass. At an altitude of 3,100 meters, the pass offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas and the 108 memorial chortens (stupas) built in honor of Bhutanese soldiers.

Proceed to Punakha Dzong, an impressive fortress and former seat of government that lies at the confluence of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers. This architectural marvel is adorned with intricate woodwork and vibrant murals.

After the day’s sightseeing, return to Thimphu for an overnight stay at your hotel.

 

Day 05: Thimphu Local Sightseeing – Transfer to Paro

After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring Thimphu’s cultural landmarks, including:

Memorial Chorten: A beautiful stupa dedicated to world peace and prosperity.

Buddha Dordenma: A 169-foot bronze statue of Buddha that overlooks the Thimphu valley.

Thimphu Viewpoint: A panoramic viewpoint offering sweeping views of the capital and surrounding mountains.

Takin Reserve: A wildlife reserve home to the national animal, the takin, a unique species found only in Bhutan.

Changangkha Lhakhang: An ancient temple known for its beautiful interiors and prayer wheels.

Clock Tower Square: A local market area with shops selling Bhutanese handicrafts and souvenirs.

After lunch, depart for Paro, enjoying the scenic drive through valleys and hills.

Arrive in Paro by evening and check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 06: Paro Sightseeing – Chele La Pass, Rinpung Dzong, and Paro Museum

After breakfast, begin with an excursion to Chele La Pass. Located at an altitude of 3,988 meters, Chele La is one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan, offering stunning views of the Himalayan range, including Mount Jomolhari.

Return to Paro for further exploration:

Rinpung Dzong: A fortress-monastery with impressive architecture and history.

Paro Museum (National Museum of Bhutan): Discover Bhutanese art, culture, and history through various exhibits.

After a day of exploration, return to your hotel in Paro for an overnight stay.

 

Day 07: Departure – Paro to Hasimara Station

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Paro and drive to Hasimara Railway Station for your onward journey.

Bid farewell to the serene landscapes of Bhutan as your tour concludes with cherished memories.
