7 Nights 8 Days Seven Sisters Tour Planning
Day 1: Arrival in Assam – Tea Gardens and Local Culture
Arrive at Guwahati or Jorhat Airport/Railway Station.
Visit the scenic Assam Tea Gardens—experience tea plucking and learn about processing at a heritage tea estate.
- Enjoy Assamese cuisine and an evening cultural show (subject to availability).
Overnight stay in Jorhat or Kaziranga.
Day 2: Kaziranga National Park Safari
Early morning elephant safari in the central range of Kaziranga National Park to spot the one-horned rhinoceros, wild buffalo, swamp deer, and birds.
After breakfast, explore nearby tribal villages or the Kaziranga Orchid & Biodiversity Park.
Afternoon jeep safari in the western or eastern range for more wildlife sightings.
Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Day 3: Transfer to Meghalaya – Shillong Sightseeing
Drive to Shillong (approx. 6–7 hours).
En route visit Umiam Lake, a scenic reservoir surrounded by pine-covered hills.
On arrival in Shillong, explore Ward’s Lake, Don Bosco Museum, and Police Bazaar for shopping.
Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 4: Cherrapunji – Living Root Bridges & Waterfalls
Day excursion to Cherrapunji, famous for heavy rainfall and natural wonders.
Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, and Dainthlen Falls.
Explore Mawsmai Caves and Eco Park.
Trek (if fit) to the double-decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village (optional, requires physical fitness).
Overnight stay in Shillong or Cherrapunji.
Day 5: Transfer to Nagaland – Kohima Tribal Culture
Drive to Kohima, Nagaland’s capital (approx. 6–7 hours).
Visit the historic Kohima War Cemetery, dedicated to WWII soldiers.
Explore Kisama Heritage Village, showcasing Naga tribal architecture and culture.
Stroll through local markets for handicrafts and Naga cuisine.
Overnight stay in Kohima.
Day 6: Transfer to Arunachal Pradesh – Dirang/Sela Pass
Early departure for Dirang (en route to Tawang), a charming town in Arunachal Pradesh.
Drive through mountain roads, crossing scenic landscapes and tribal villages.
Stop at Dirang Dzong, Hot Water Springs, and Sangti Valley.
Overnight stay in Dirang.
Day 7: Tawang Monastery and Local Sightseeing
Drive to Tawang via Sela Pass (13,700 ft), a highlight of the journey with breathtaking views.
En route visit Jaswant Garh War Memorial.
Visit the majestic Tawang Monastery, Tawang War Memorial, and Giant Buddha Statue.
Optional: Excursion to Madhuri Lake (Shonga-tser Lake) if time permits.
Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, begin return journey to Tezpur/Guwahati Airport or nearest point for onward travel.
Tour ends with wonderful memories of the Seven Sisters of Northeast India.
